Welcome to the 2015-16 school year!My name is JoAnn Ash, and I will be your child's fifth grade teacher.I am very excited about the upcoming year.
Let me take a moment to tell you a little about myself and what to expect this school year.I received my bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and I am currently working on a graduate degree at Cardinal Stritch. I recently received my National Board certification as well. I have been with the Indian Community School since 2000.My son and daugther are both gradutes of ICS.
We will be working very hard this school year. With the exception of the first two weeks of school, expect your child to have homework every week night.I usually do not assign homework on the weekends, but there may be some rare exceptions. All homework will be based on material previously covered in class. All homework should travel to and from school in a homework folder.
I am committed to providing an excellent educational experience for your child.By working together, we will make your child's school year successful. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns through the school office (414-545-1600)or through email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
