Dear ICS Parents;
This is follow-up information regarding the swine flu. Please see the new guidelines that are in place based on the School’s Emergency Health Plan and the guidance of the Franklin Health Department.
If a child or staff member has:
- A temperature of 100.4 and one or more of the following:
- Couch
- Sore Throat
- Body aches
The above will result in:
- Exclusion from school and all after school activities for a minimum of seven (7) days OR exclusion until a negative swine flu test result from a healthcare professional is submitted to the school office.
- Parents should consult healthcare professionals before going to the clinic to let them know they need to be tested for the swine flu.
- All of the above steps will apply to staff as well.
It is extremely important to keep sick children at home and to report to all symptoms that they may be experiencing to your school office.
